Old Coach Road

The old original road through the Girvan Valley from Maybole and Straiton to Girvan runs through the fairway of green number 12. This road remained as the public highway until the mid 1830s when the new public road was laid further uphill so that the public didn't have to pass through the main part of the Bargany Estate. The old road can be traced from Dailly village through Brunston, past Bargany Pond to the rear of Loveston and thereafter to the village of Old Dailly.
